Current Adoption Promotion
Over the holiday weekend, the shelter took in an unprecedented 148 animals in the span of three days. Some were strays, some were abandoned, some surrendered. We are now caring for almost 400 animals here at our shelter, and an additional 261 in foster homes. Over the past few weeks, adoption numbers have gone down, and a lot of our animals have just been sitting in their kennels, day after day, with little to no interactions. Our longest resident dog has been here for almost 160 days, and there are several others that are about to reach the 100 day mark.
Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 3rd, and spanning through Friday. September 5th, the shelter will be hosting a “Flash Sale.” For all adoptable cats and dogs, adoption fees will be reduced from $80 to $10.
